Join a company where you will have an opportunity to grow professionally and personally and give strength to others by Empowering Healing. We are seeking a creative and organized, Director of Marketing – Surgical who will lead the development and implementation of strategic marketing initiatives & promotional campaigns for our Surgical Division’s portfolio of products.  The ideal candidate will be an effective collaborator and motivator who can lead a team of marketing professionals to successfully execute highly engaging promotional campaigns each year. Director of Marketing applicants must have extensive experience in sales and marketing, thrive in a fast-past environment and be able to delegate and track multiple ongoing projects and responsibilities simultaneously. This position reports to the VP or Marketing. Primary responsibilities are: 

  • Lead development and implementation of all strategic marketing initiatives and annual business planning for the Surgical Division’s portfolio of products
  • Develop and lead the marketing team in establishing a highly differentiated portfolio of products with brands that contain clear brand identity/presence, positioning and value proposition
  • Develop highly creative & impactful marketing campaigns for all brands in the portfolio that engage customers and differentiate from competitive products in the target market
  • Work collaboratively with R&D to develop needed clinical data and evidence for the portfolio to support successful market penetration and share gain
  • Work collaboratively with Sales Leadership to develop aligned GTM strategies and promotional campaigns that are seamlessly executed
  • Lead execution of all product development, market research and pricing strategies
  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Marketing Communications to find innovative ways to connect with target audiences (social media, etc.) & increase brand awareness and reach across multiple platforms
  • Direct analytical data gathering and marketing/consumer testing of both current of future commercialization strategies
  • Attend conferences, meetings, conventions, in order to stay current on market trends and new research
  • Create and adhere to marketing budgets
  • Train and manage marketing team to successfully execute defined brand goals and objectives
  • Conduct annual goal setting and performance reviews with all direct reports
  • Present frequent progress reports to executives against annual business plan goals and objectives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration or related field required
  • MBA preferred
  • 7+ years of extensive experience in marketing 
  • 3-5 years of portfolio brand management that included annual business planning development
  • 3+ years of management experience required
  • Extensive experience/knowledge in marketing products to Surgeons for use in the OR
  • Extensive experience/knowledge with CTPs and/or skin substitute wound care technologies utilized to treat acute/complex wounds in the OR
  • Experience in new product development (market research, business case development, etc.)
  • Personally responsible for launching 3-5 products during his/her career
  • 1-3 years of sales experience preferred
  • Proven dynamic leadership and project management skills
  • Strategic, innovative and creative personality with a strong business acumen
  • A passion for working in and managing a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Adept multi-tasker with ability to quickly prioritize and effectively delegate tasks
