What You Will Achieve:
The QC Analyst I/II performs advanced quality activities in support of product production and releases. The position has interaction with other internal departments, including Apligraf Production, FortaFlex Production, Cell Culture, Quality Assurance, Validation, Calibration, Materials, and Logistics. The position also has interaction with external entities including contractors and suppliers. The QC Analyst I/II performs a wide variety of advanced activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements by conducting testing, trending, and reporting results in CGMP environment.
How You Will Achieve It:
- Perform chemical analysis and ELISA assays for raw materials, intermediates, and finished product testing.
- Prepare and send out samples for testing, when necessary.
- Perform visual inspection of finished product.
- Generate trend reports as they relate to quality testing.
- Revise SOPs.
- Responsible for interdepartmental interactions to ensure customer service needs are satisfied and priorities understood.
Requirements
What You Need to Achieve It:
- Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science or equivalent,
- 1-3 years of related experience in a GMP/GLP regulated laboratory.
- Chemistry and ELISA experience preferred.
Physical Demands
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- This position requires 2 hours of standing per day (based on an eight-hour workday) with occasional stooping and lifting. This position also requires use of repetitive hand movement e.g. pipetting, preparing samples, testing samples, keyboard use, etc. for moderate or long periods of time.
Environmental Conditions
- The QC Analyst position entails routine lab work that requires the ability to stand, sit, or combination of both for extended periods of time in the performance of complex assays within the general laboratory space, biological safety cabinets, or fume hood.
TEST REQUIREMENTS
Quality Control new hires are required to undergo a visual acuity screening test and periodic re-testing during employment. The results of this testing are neither a condition for employment nor of continued employment and are utilized solely for purposes of qualifying individuals for performance of certain visual tests/assays requiring minimum visual standards.
