The Largo, FL office of Organogenesis is seeking a motivated and responsible candidate for a Material Handler I position.
Under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager, the Materials Handler I will assist in supporting the Distribution department in labeling, packaging, and shipping finished products. This position is on-site Monday through Friday. This position has the following responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Producing labels for finished products.
- Product labeling and packaging.
- Assists in the daily scheduling of activities.
- Prepares and packages outgoing product shipments.
- Prints and prepares documentation.
- Verify product descriptions, status and quantities.
- Maintain a clean and organized workplace.
- Provide support to co-workers and other departments as needed.
- Updates and/or Develops Standard Operating Procedures associated with Packaging and Shipping of Final Products.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped.
- Replenishes stock as necessary to ensure an adequate supply of goods and/or materials to meet daily shipping/production requirements. Examines materials on an ongoing basis for quantities, expiration dates, and product damages.
Requirements
What You Need to Achieve It:
- Requires a high school diploma with a minimum of 0-1 year of related experience.
- Excellent organizational skills with inventory and warehouse experience.
- Should be detailed oriented with good computer skills (receiving entry system, Word, and Excel programs).
- Strong communication skills are needed for interaction with all department levels.
- Previous experience handling and storing hazardous materials is preferred.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. required.
- Long periods of standing, bending, and use of arms and wrists.
