What You Will Achieve:

The Organogenesis Finance Department is searching for an additional Payroll Specialist to enhance our team. This employee will assist in processing a multi-state, bi-weekly payroll for 900 exempt and non-exempt employees. This position reports to the Payroll Supervisor. 

How You Will Achieve It:

  • Manage workflow to accurately process all new hire, promotion and salary changes in addition to any special payments included with these changes
  • Process terminations, determine final pay, verify, and pay out PTO balances and severance payments in accordance with state specific laws and regulations, 
  • Review, calculate and process all wage garnishment and deduction orders
  • Identify and deduct any retro benefit deductions owed by employees
  • Work with HR to ensure proper payments for employees on all types of LOA/FMLA 
  • Complete salary verification requests
  • Review and correct all timecard and time off request issues
  • Review and reconcile payroll prior to transmission
  • Upload, review and reconcile monthly commission payrolls 
  • Create and/or Prepare payroll reports as requested by management
  • Respond to employee payroll and benefit related questions and requests
  • Research and resolve payroll issues and discrepancies
  • Perform other work related duties as assigned

Requirements

What You Need to Achieve It:

  • 3 years of payroll experience in a multi-state environment
  • Working knowledge of payroll best practices
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to work well with all levels of management
  • Ability to maintain the highest degree of confidence
  • Experience supporting 900 employees
