We are on the hunt for a seasoned, dynamic, and highly motivated Area Director of Sales (ADS) to join our fast-growing regenerative medicine company. The ideal candidate will have an impressive track record in Wound Care/Biologics Sales leadership and a deep understanding of the current market. We are looking for a “leader of leaders” that will possess a mindset to adapt, innovate and succeed. This position will report to a Senior Director of Sales (SDS). The Midwest Area encompasses Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and part of Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, and Maryland. 

Area Director of Sales (ADS) Job Scope and Responsibilities:

  • Developing, executing, and communicating strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth.
  • Leading  a team of Regional Sales Managers (RSMs)- including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Oversee sales processes and methodologies to optimize sales efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Analyzing market trends and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and drive product development initiatives.
  • Partnering with cross-functional support teams to align sales efforts with business objectives.
  • Monitoring sales performance metrics and KPIs and implementing measures to improve sales productivity and effectiveness.
  • Managing and overseeing the annual budgeting process for the defined Sales Area.
  • Taking a data-driven approach to managing multiples sales regions and extract actionable insights to improve performance and results.
  • Collaborating with the Senior Director of Sales and other Area Directors of Sales to build and oversee strategic plans for the Sales Zone.
  • Extensive travel including overnight at 50-75%.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

  •  3 years’ experience in sales management roles within the Wound Care/Biologics industry preferred.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Deep understanding of sales processes, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and generate insights to inform sales strategies.
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
  • Candidate must reside in the defined Area Sales geography.
