How You Will Achieve It:

  • Provide accurate and timely processing of month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial close.
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
  • Manage and develop accounting staff, including hiring, performance management, and training staff.
  • Review monthly journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Manage certain accruals, working closely with other departments.
  • Work closely with external auditors to provide necessary quarterly and yearly documentation and support.
  • Support compliance across the company including tax filings, debt, implementation of controls and governance.
  • Assist business through ad hoc requests and support questions.

Requirements

What You Need to Achieve It:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 6 years of progressive accounting experience including supervisory role. Big 4 experience and CPA preferred. Life Science experience a plus.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, and SEC reporting.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Dynamic ERP systems and implementations a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
